summer term

Welcome to all our new children and families who have joined us after the easter break, all the children have settled into nursery and are enjoying the new challenges and learning opportunities which are provided here.

The theme for the summer term is 'Time for a Change' and we will be looking at change in many areas. We have already spent lots of time growing vegetables and flowers for our outside environment and you should all have a runner bean plant to look after at home. We would love to share any photos of your plant, or any gardening you and your children enjoy at home which you could send in to us.

The children (and staff) have been fascinated by our caterpillars which we have been looking after, they grew very fast, spun their coccoons and the latest news is that we now have butterflies. We will watch these for a few days before releasing them into the wild before half term.

Upcoming events:

You should all have received the email regarding the visit to nursery by Blackpool Zoo to you scheme. This is for all nursery children and we would love to have as many children there as possible. If you have not received this email, please let us know.

Sports Day - we will be holding our own sports day later in the term and will let you know the date as soon as it has been decided

Teddy Bears Picnic - we are hoping to have a Teddy Bears Picnic for the children befrore the end of term and again we will let you know the details later
