E-safety

At Wilmslow Grange, we take e-safety extremely seriously. We believe that it is the right of all children to feel safe and secure when using technology both at home and in school.  Through our e-safety sessions in school, as well as through Safer Internet Day (annually in February), we discuss with our children the positives and negatives of the internet and teach strategies based around becoming resilient digital citizens for the future.

Parent forum (Spring 2016)

After another informative e-safety parent forum on Thursday 4th February 2016, in conjunction with Safer Internet Day 2016, we have amended and updated the list of all of the resources and websites we shared with you below.  Please also take a look at the e-safety handout (Spring 2016), which has all of the information covered at the forum and follow the link to complete our e-safety questionnaire, which will help us find out where you would like most support during further parent forums.  During the forum, we alson discussed different child-safe 'search engines' as an alternative to 'Google' or another search engine currently available.  You may find Kidrex or Primary Safe Search are suitable alternatives to use at home.

Parent forum (Autumn 2015)

Following a successful e-safety parent forum on Thursday 10th December 2015, we have now compiled a list of all of the resources and websites we shared with you.  Please also take a look at the e-safety handout (Autumn 2015), which has all of the information covered at the forum and follow the link to complete our e-safety questionnaire, which will help us find out where you would like most support in readiness for our next parent forum in early Spring term.
