Spring

Class: Nursery Year: 2015 - 2016

Apologies for the lack of photos last week, this was due to technical difficulties getting the photos from the ipad onto the computer, hopefully this has now been sorted and normal service will be resumed.

We have been making the most of the beautiful spring weather and spending a lot of time in our outside environment, playing with water, mud and paint, as well as bikes, tractors and large construction toys.

Last week we were thinking about the story of Jack and the Beanstalk and decided to plant our own bean seeds to see what would grow. These are now in nursery being looked after by the children and, hopefully, when they start to grow, they will be bringing them home to continue caring for them there. We hope you will enjoy the french beans.

This week we have been reading the story of The Very Hungry Caterpillar, this led to the children making butterfly and caterpillar pictures using a variety of media, paint, collage and colouring. On Wednesday we were very excited to welcome our real caterpillars to nursery, We will be watching them grow and change over the next few weeks and when they become butterflies we will release them to watch them fly.
